Police in Coventry have made six arrests following a terrifying incident in which a teenage girl was allegedly threatened with a gun and a knife. The event unfolded on New Year's Day at a property on Terry Road, prompting a significant response from West Midlands Police.
Swift Police Response to New Year's Day Incident
Officers were called to the scene in the Stoke area of Coventry just after 6pm on Wednesday, 1 January. Acting on rapid enquiries, police attended the address and detained five teenage boys. The teenagers, aged between 15 and 19, were arrested on suspicion of possessing a firearm.
In a connected development, a 47-year-old woman was also taken into custody at the location. She was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. All six individuals remained in police custody on Thursday as investigations continued.
