Police Arrest Teen and Seize Zombie Knife After Violent Solihull Robbery

West Midlands Police have issued an update following a terrifying robbery in Solihull where a teenage boy was slashed with a zombie knife and had his electric off-road bike stolen. The incident occurred on Hobs Moat Road in Elmdon at approximately 3pm on Saturday, March 7.

Violent Attack and Immediate Response

The victim was first threatened with a knife by two individuals who demanded his e-bike. During the confrontation, the teenager was slashed with a zombie knife, sustaining a serious wound to his arm that required immediate medical attention.

A spokeswoman for West Midlands Ambulance Service confirmed: "We were called at around 3pm on Saturday to reports of a stabbing on Hobs Moat Road in Elmdon, Solihull. One ambulance attended the scene. Upon arrival, we found a teenage male who had sustained serious injuries. He received trauma care from ambulance staff before being conveyed to hospital for further treatment."

Swift Police Action Leads to Arrest

Following the attack, the two robbers fled the scene, but police quickly launched an investigation. The Safer Travel team played a crucial role in the response, with officers among the first to arrive at the location.

The Safer Travel team reported: "Safer Travel officers were some of the first officers on the scene in Elmdon after a teenager was slashed in the arm and his e-bike was stolen. They conducted an area search locating a suspect, also a teenager, along with the e-bike and a weapon."

Arrest and Ongoing Investigation

West Midlands Police arrested a 17-year-old boy in connection with the violent robbery and seized a zombie knife. The suspect was arrested on suspicion of robbery and possession of a knife.

A police spokesperson detailed: "A teenage boy has been arrested in connection with a violent robbery in Solihull. We were called to reports of a robbery on Hobs Moat Road, Solihull, at around 3pm yesterday. A teenage boy was threatened with a knife by two people, and his electric off-road bike was stolen. The boy received a slash wound to his arm and he was taken to hospital with injuries."

The spokesperson continued: "Officers carried out fast-track enquiries, and a 17-year-old boy was arrested in connection to this incident. A zombie knife was also seized, and he was also arrested on suspicion of possession of a knife. He has been bailed with strict conditions while our enquiries continue."
