Three Arrested After Sutton Coldfield Knifepoint Robbery
Three men have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery that occurred in Sutton Coldfield. The incident took place on Victoria Road at approximately 2pm on Wednesday, March 18, 2026.
Details of the Robbery
According to West Midlands Police, three individuals threatened a man with a knife and forced him to hand over a significant amount of cash. Fortunately, the victim was not injured during the robbery. Officers conducted swift investigations, leading to the identification and arrest of three suspects on suspicion of robbery and possession of an offensive weapon.
The trio have since been released on bail as the investigation continues. Police are urging anyone with information to come forward to assist with the ongoing enquiries.
Police Implement Dispersal Order
In response to a recent increase in anti-social behaviour, West Midlands Police have enforced a Section 35 dispersal order in Sutton Coldfield town centre. This order, which grants police extra powers to disperse individuals engaging in disruptive activities, is set to remain in effect until 6.30pm on Saturday, March 21, 2026.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Police stated, "We've put in extra policing powers which will allow us to disperse anyone engaging in anti-social behaviour and causing a public nuisance. We have also increased the number of officers in the area."
Addressing Anti-Social Behaviour
The police have noted a rise in incidents involving young people participating in anti-social behaviour, including the riding of off-road motorbikes. The spokesperson emphasised that such behaviour will not be tolerated, and appropriate action will be taken against offenders.
