Three individuals have been formally charged in connection with a robbery incident after law enforcement officials uncovered gold chains concealed within a 79p Rubicon drinks can in Birmingham. The West Midlands Police reported receiving alerts regarding a robbery on Winson Green Road in the Winson Green area on Tuesday, February 24, where a gold chain was reportedly stolen.

Swift Police Response Leads to Arrests

Authorities conducted rapid investigations, resulting in arrests made within ten minutes of the initial incident. Officers from the Op Skybridge and Road Crime Team located a vehicle on Oxhill Road shortly after the robbery was reported. Following this development, three men were apprehended on suspicion of robbery.

Further inquiries by the neighbourhood crime team led to charges being filed against all three suspects. The individuals involved have been identified as Auram Dumitru, aged 22, David Dumitru, aged 27, and Filip Gheorghe, aged 20.

Auram Dumitru faces charges for two separate robbery offences. David Dumitru and Filip Gheorghe have each been charged with robbery, in addition to driving without a valid licence and driving without appropriate insurance. All three men were remanded in custody and are scheduled to appear before Birmingham Magistrates Court today.
