Three men have appeared in court following an alleged stabbing during a violent disturbance at a Bearwood pub over the weekend.
Violent Outbreak at The Abbey Pub
Trouble erupted at The Abbey pub on Abbey Road late on Saturday evening, November 29, at around 8:40 pm. The incident, described by police as serious violent disorder, led to emergency services being called to the scene.
Officers discovered a man in his twenties on Abbey Road suffering from a leg injury consistent with a stabbing. The victim was taken to hospital for treatment, where his condition is now described as stable.
Charges and Court Appearance
West Midlands Police have charged three men in direct connection with the alleged violence. The accused are Ashton Ryatt, aged 19, from Smethwick, and brothers Zachary Mundon, 24, and Joshua Mundon, 30, both from Oldbury.
All three men have been formally charged with violent disorder and a further charge of assault. They were remanded in custody and appeared before Wolverhampton Magistrates' Court on Monday, December 1.
Ongoing Police Investigation
The police investigation remains active, with officers confirming the arrest of a fourth man, aged 36, on suspicion of violent disorder. He is currently in custody for questioning.
