Two teenagers have been arrested in connection with a violent disorder in Smethwick that left two men with stab wounds last month. The arrests came this morning, June 5, as part of an ongoing investigation by West Midlands Police.
The incident occurred on Foundry Lane at around 9:30 PM on May 26, when reports of armed violence were received. Officers responded to the scene and found two men suffering from stab wounds. They were taken to hospital for treatment.
Arrests and Charges
This morning, police arrested a 19-year-old and an 18-year-old. Both remain in police custody and are being questioned on suspicion of attempted murder. In total, five individuals—three men and two teenagers—have now been charged in connection with the disorder.
