The man was arrested on suspicion of possessing a knife and possession with intent to supply controlled substances. In an official statement, West Midlands Police confirmed the removal of the weapons and suspected drugs from the streets, highlighting the effectiveness of their neighbourhood policing efforts.

"We've removed two knives and a quantity of suspected drugs from our streets after a man was arrested in Walsall yesterday evening," the force stated. "Neighbourhood officers spotted suspicious activity around a car parked in West Bromwich Street at just after 8pm and detained the man in the vehicle."

The statement continued, "During the stop and search, officers recovered two knives from the car along with a quantity of suspected drugs and cash. A man in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply and possessing a knife."
