Man Dies After Fall at Birmingham City Centre Bar

A man has tragically died after falling from a height at a bar in Birmingham city centre over the Bank Holiday weekend. The incident occurred at Henman & Cooper on Colmore Row shortly after 6pm on Sunday, May 3.

Emergency services were called to the scene at approximately 6.20pm following reports that a man had fallen a number of floors within the building. He was rushed to hospital with serious injuries but sadly passed away.

Police Confirm Death Not Suspicious

West Midlands Police issued an update on Monday, May 4, confirming that the victim was a man in his 40s. A force spokesperson said: 'We were called to Colmore Row, Birmingham city centre, at around 6.20pm yesterday after a man fell a number of floors within a building. The man, aged in his 40s, was taken to hospital but has since sadly died. Our thoughts are with his loved ones at this awful time.'

The death is not being treated as suspicious, and a report is being prepared for the coroner.

Bar Closed Following Incident

Henman & Cooper posted on social media after the incident, stating: 'Dear guests, due to unforeseen circumstances Henman & Cooper will be closed this evening. We apologise and appreciate your understanding. We look forward to welcoming you back soon. Thank you, Team H&C.'

The area outside the bar was cordoned off by police as investigations were carried out. Multiple emergency vehicles were present at the scene in Colmore Row.
