Love Island star Jasmine Muller's family have spoken out about the tense love triangle she is embroiled in, revealing which villa boy they want her to end up with. Appearing on Love Island: Aftersun, her mother, sister Bella, and brother all shared their candid views on the situation involving Jasmine, Kavan, and Lorenzo.
Family Unanimously Backs Kavan
When asked by host Maya Jama who they hoped Jasmine would choose, all three family members firmly supported her connection with Kavan, despite the couple currently being on an emotional break following Movie Night revelations. Jasmine's sister said: "I think Jasmine and Lorenzo are besties. I’ll be so real. I feel like I can see them on the outside just being best friends. They have each others’ backs I think. Jasmine and Kavan are just cute. There’s love there I think, you know."
Her mother agreed, adding: "Yeah, I think she really likes him [Kavan]. Genuinely. She has a connection with him." Her brother echoed the sentiment, explaining: "I really do think they’re at a platonic level. I’ve seen a lot of the Love Island community shipping them like Team Jasmenzo. They would be good friends, but I just don’t think there’s anything romantic there."
Lorenzo Seen as 'Nightmare to Date'
While the family acknowledged that Jasmine and Lorenzo initially had a "nice connection," they now believe the Italian Islander would be difficult to date. Jasmine's sister Bella joked: "He’d be a nightmare to date," with their mother adding: "Yeah, he doesn’t have the affection that she wants."
The 27-year-old Dubai-born influencer has been at the centre of a love triangle since the first week of the series. After rejecting new boy Jordan in favour of her original crush Kavan, she was left heartbroken when he chose to couple up with newcomer Charleen following Casa Amor. Kavan later dumped Charleen in an attempt to win Jasmine back, but Movie Night aired footage of him showering his Casa Amor flame with compliments and comparing her to Jasmine. In contrast, Jasmine was shown engaging in flirtatious chat with Lorenzo, joking about straddling him and giving their co-stars a show.
Will Jasmine and Kavan Reconcile?
Despite the setbacks, Jasmine's family remains hopeful for a romantic reunion. They are rooting for the couple to patch things up, with Jasmine's mother stating: "I think she really likes him. Genuinely." The family's support for Kavan is clear, as they believe there is genuine love between the pair. Whether Jasmine and Kavan can overcome the drama remains to be seen, but her family is firmly Team Kavan.
