West End Horror Hit Paranormal Activity Haunts Birmingham This Halloween

The spine-chilling West End smash hit Paranormal Activity is set to terrify Birmingham audiences as part of a major UK and Ireland tour. This immersive theatre production, inspired by Oren Peli's popular film series, will arrive at The Alexandra Theatre in the heart of Birmingham just in time for Halloween.

A Relentlessly Frightening Theatre Experience

Described by Metro as 'relentlessly frightening - arm-clutchingly, stranger-embracingly so', this production blurs the lines between cinema and live theatre. Written by acclaimed playwright Levi Holloway, whose thriller Grey House chilled Broadway audiences, and directed by immersive theatre pioneer Felix Barrett of Punchdrunk fame, the show has reportedly left audiences jumping out of their seats and questioning what lurks in the dark long after the curtain falls.

Performance Dates and Ticket Information

The Paranormal Activity tour will haunt Birmingham's Alexandra Theatre from Tuesday, October 27 through Saturday, October 31, 2026 - perfectly timed for Halloween festivities. The broader tour runs from September 2026 through May 2027.

The Haunting Plot

The story follows James and Lou as they move from Chicago to London hoping to escape their past, only to discover that places aren't haunted, people are. A show spokesman explained: 'Paranormal Activity reimagines the modern ghost story with an unsettling intimacy only theatre can provide. Immersing audiences in an atmosphere of creeping dread, unseen forces, and psychological tension, Levi Holloway's script offers a bold reinterpretation of the original, blending domestic horror with mind-bending theatricality.'

The production features innovative staging and chilling soundscapes under Felix Barrett's visionary direction, known for breaking boundaries between audience and performer. This creates an experience that invites audiences to witness the inexplicable up close and feel genuine fear in real time.
