Exact Dates for Next 32C UK Heatwave Just Days Away

The next scorching UK heatwave is just days away, new forecasts show. Cooler and fresher conditions are expected this week following the record-breaking June heatwave, but the respite from the heat only looks set to be brief.

Birmingham and London to See Soaring Temperatures

Temperatures are set to climb again heading into the weekend, paving the way for days of warm sunshine. Warm and sunny conditions of around 25C are forecast for Birmingham over the weekend from Friday, July 3. It is then set to become hotter from Monday, July 6, with the mercury predicted to reach 28C in Birmingham. BBC forecasts then show three consecutive 30C days from Tuesday, July 7 to Thursday, July 9. It could be even hotter in London, reaching 32C on July 8 and 9, with almost wall-to-wall sunshine between July 3 and July 12.

Met Office Outlook for July 3-12

The Met Office warned "temperatures will rise through the period, perhaps becoming very warm or hot in places." Their forecast for July 3-12 states: "High pressure will dominate across England and Wales over the weekend, bringing dry and warm conditions with plenty of sunshine for most. Scotland and Northern Ireland will probably see more cloud this weekend, with periods of rain mainly affecting western Scotland at times."

"Into the following working week, high pressure remains slow moving over England and Wales, perhaps extending northwards to bring drier and warmer weather to Scotland and Northern Ireland. Winds will be light to moderate for most, though stronger around northern hills and coasts near low pressure systems. Temperatures will rise through the period, perhaps becoming very warm or hot in places."
