Anna, who grew up in Shropshire, recalled visiting Moya in Manchester two to three times annually, describing her as very family-oriented and kind. One of her earliest memories involves touring the hospice shortly after it opened, an experience that left a lasting impression due to the friendly and welcoming staff. This visit significantly influenced Anna's own career path, leading her to become an oncologist in Wales.
She emphasized that Moya was never one to seek attention, always focusing on her work rather than herself. Anna believes Moya would have been "quietly proud" of the rebrand, acknowledging her humility while celebrating her contributions.

Anna's sister, Jennie, is further honouring Moya's legacy by running a 100-mile ultramarathon to raise funds for Moya Cole Hospice and Macmillan.
