The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has confirmed the complete list of 46 mental health conditions that qualify for Personal Independence Payment (PIP), with eligible claimants receiving up to £458 per month. Conditions such as ADHD, depression, and anxiety are included in the list, alongside many others.
PIP Payment Details
PIP is designed to help individuals with the extra costs of living with a disability or long-term health condition. The daily living component is paid at either a standard rate of £76.70 per week or an enhanced rate of £114.60 per week, which equates to £458 per month. The mobility component is paid at £30.30 per week (standard) or £80.00 per week (enhanced). These rates apply from April 2026.
How PIP is Assessed
The DWP assesses how difficult claimants find daily living and mobility tasks. For each task, they consider whether the individual can perform it safely, how long it takes, and whether they need help from another person or special equipment. To qualify, claimants must experience difficulty with tasks more than half of the days over a 12-month period.
