Pharmacy2U Patients Warned of 48-Hour Bank Holiday Closures
Pharmacy2U Issues 48-Hour Warning Over Bank Holiday Closures

NHS patients who use Pharmacy2U for their prescriptions are being warned about upcoming closures on Sunday, May 3, and Bank Holiday Monday, May 4. The service has issued a 48-hour notice to ensure patients order their medication in time.

Statement from Pharmacy2U

A statement from the service reads: "We just wanted to remind you that if you need to order medicine in time for the May Day Bank Holiday weekend, please request your prescription as soon as possible so that there’s enough time for your GP to approve your request." It adds: "This will enable us to dispense and deliver your medicine in plenty of time. Our Customer Care team will be available to contact if you need anything."

Opening Times

Patients can reach Pharmacy2U at the following times:

  • Friday, May 1: 9am to 8pm
  • Saturday, May 2: 9am to 1pm
  • Sunday, May 3: Closed
  • Bank Holiday Monday, May 4: Closed
  • Tuesday, May 5: 9am to 8pm

Ordering Prescriptions

The service recommends: "Placing your repeat prescription order online seven working days before you need your medicine. This gives plenty of time for us to get approval from your GP before checking, dispensing, and dispatching your items. They’ll then be delivered using Royal Mail Tracked. The timeline is often much quicker than this, but seven working days helps us to make sure you don't run out."

Contact Information

For anyone who needs to get in touch, you can reach the Pharmacy2U team via its live chat option on the 'Help and Support' page of the website. Or you can call on 0113 265 0222.

If you need urgent medical help, contact NHS 111 or call 999 in an emergency. If you urgently need prescription medication during the Easter period, please contact your GP or visit your local pharmacy.

Registration

To register for Pharmacy2U, it says it will ask you for certain information when you sign up, including your name and date of birth, your GP surgery details and what medicines you’re prescribed. If you know your NHS number, add this too. "It can make the registration process even quicker," the firm says.
