Swift action by police officers in Nottingham is being credited with saving the life of a man found unconscious behind the wheel of his car in the early hours of the morning.
Early Morning Emergency on Woodhouse Way
The incident unfolded at 1.37am on Monday morning on Woodhouse Way in Nottingham. Officers on patrol came across a vehicle with a man, in his 30s, slumped and unresponsive at the steering wheel.
Recognising the immediate danger, the police had to force entry into the car to reach the driver. Understanding the critical nature of the situation, they began administering cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) without delay while urgently calling for paramedics.
Decisive Action Leads to Recovery
The officers' prompt medical intervention proved vital. The man soon regained consciousness at the scene before being transported to hospital for further assessment and treatment.
Authorities have since confirmed that the man's condition is not believed to be life-threatening, a positive outcome directly attributed to the rapid response.
