A man has died at Northfield railway station in Birmingham after an incident on the tracks. British Transport Police were called to the station at around 8.50pm on Sunday, May 3, following reports of a pedestrian on the tracks.
Emergency services attended the scene, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene. His family has been informed of his death, police confirmed.
Flowers and Murals Left at Station
By Tuesday morning, May 5, flowers and murals had been placed outside the station entrance as a tribute to the man who died. The incident caused significant disruption to train services in the area.
The death is not being treated as suspicious, and a file will be prepared for the coroner, according to a British Transport Police spokesperson.
