West Midlands Police were called to Lower Trinity Street in the Digbeth area at approximately 1.30am on Tuesday, 24 December. The report stated that a woman had been threatened and her mobile phone stolen.

Officers have stated they were 'swiftly on the scene' and were able to track a suspect to nearby Whitmore Road. A 26-year-old man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of robbery and remains in police custody for questioning.
