Birmingham ravers were ordered to leave a Drum and Bass event at Luna Springs in Digbeth after a double stabbing on Saturday night. West Midlands Police responded to the Cru2 festival on Lower Trinity Street shortly after 7pm on May 9.
Evacuation Ordered
A screen behind the DJ booth initially displayed: "There has been an incident. Can everyone please bare with us." It later changed to: "There has been an incident. Can everyone please leave the venue via the nearest exit." Attendees were stunned as they were asked to leave.
One clubber told BirminghamLive: "We were waiting for the next act to come on stage and then we had to leave. We were all stunned." Another added: "It was amazing until the unfortunate event."
Victims Hospitalised
Two men were taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening. Police confirmed both men are in stable condition.
Investigation Underway
No arrests have been made, and inquiries continue. A police spokeswoman said: "An investigation is underway after two men were stabbed at a venue in Digbeth. We were called to Lower Trinity Street shortly before 7pm last night (9 May) to reports that two men had been stabbed and taken to hospital. Both men's injuries are not believed to be life-threatening."
