E-Bike Rider Arrested After Collision in Birmingham

A man has been arrested after an e-bike that failed to stop for police collided with a car in Birmingham. The incident occurred on Rough Road in the Kingstanding area at around 12:15 PM on Sunday, April 26.

The rider, aged 26, sustained injuries that are not believed to be life-changing and was taken to hospital. Fortunately, no one else was injured in the collision.

The suspect was arrested on suspicion of failing to stop, dangerous driving, drug-driving, and driving without insurance. West Midlands Police (WMP) has appealed for anyone with information to come forward.

A WMP spokesperson said: "A man aged 26 has been detained after a collision between a motorbike and a car on Rough Road in Kingstanding at around 12:15 PM today (26 April). The bike, thought to be an e-bike, had previously failed to stop for officers. Following the collision, the man who was riding the bike was arrested on suspicion of failing to stop, dangerous driving, drug-driving, and driving without insurance. He suffered injuries which are not believed to be life-changing and was taken to hospital. Thankfully, no one else was injured.
