Nottinghamshire Police received reports of the collision at 1:12 AM on Saturday, May 9, in Market Place. Investigations revealed an altercation occurred shortly before the car struck the group. One man was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, while four others suffered less serious injuries.

Police Statement

Detective Chief Inspector Ruby Burrow stated: 'Although there is no wider risk to the public, this was a serious incident. We believe an argument led to a car being driven at a group of people. We urge anyone with information or footage to contact us.'

The car was abandoned at the scene, and counter-terrorism units are not involved. The suspect is described as a white man.
