Two people have been seriously injured in a collision involving a fire engine in Worcester city centre, leading to the arrest of a man in his 30s.
The incident occurred on Saturday, April 25, at approximately 6pm in Sidbury, Worcester. According to West Mercia Police, a fire engine and a car collided, after which the fire engine struck a building.
Three pedestrians were injured in the crash, with two suffering serious injuries and a third sustaining minor injuries. Police arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving. He remained in police custody as of Saturday night.
Authorities are appealing for witnesses to provide information through a special online portal. A police spokesperson confirmed that officers responded to the scene following reports of the two-vehicle collision.
