Man Bailed After Double Stabbing at Luna Springs

West Midlands Police have issued a significant update after two men were stabbed at a day rave event in Birmingham. The incident occurred at Luna Springs in Digbeth, located on Lower Trinity Street, at approximately 7pm on Saturday, May 9.

Panicked crowds attending the 'Cru2' rave were instructed to leave the venue as the stabbing unfolded. Two men were rushed to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. One of the victims has since been discharged, while the other remains in hospital receiving treatment.

A man in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of wounding. In a new update provided this morning, West Midlands Police confirmed that the suspect has been bailed under strict conditions while the investigation continues.

A force spokesperson stated: "A man in his 40s who was arrested on suspicion of wounding has been bailed with strict conditions while our investigation continues."

In a previous statement, the force added: "We have made an arrest after two men were stabbed at a venue in Digbeth. The arrest of a man in his 40s came this morning as part of investigations into the incident in Lower Trinity Street, shortly before 7pm on Saturday. One of the injured men has since been discharged from the hospital, while the second remains in the hospital for treatment for injuries which are not life-threatening. We know there were lots of people inside the venue at the time and, as we continue to establish the exact circumstances, we'd ask anyone who has any mobile phone footage, or information to get in contact."

Luna Springs has stated that it is "working closely" with officers. A spokesperson for the bar commented: "We can confirm an incident occurred during an event at Luna Springs Birmingham on Saturday. We're working closely with the police and local authorities during this ongoing investigation. The safety and well-being of all our guests and staff remains our top priority."
