The Metropolitan Police launched an investigation into a fatal stabbing that occurred on Tuesday, April 7, in Shadwell, London. Officers were called to Watney Street at 16:01 hours after reports of an assault. Upon arrival, they discovered two men suffering from knife wounds.

One victim, believed to be in his late 20s or early 30s, was transported to the hospital in a life-threatening condition but sadly succumbed to his injuries. The second man received treatment for a knife wound and was later discharged from medical care.

Hassan Lbane, residing at Wodeham Gardens in Tower Hamlets, was arrested on Friday, April 10, on suspicion of murder. He subsequently handed himself into a police station in the West Midlands. On Saturday, April 11, he was charged with murder and grievous bodily harm.
