Deliveroo Rider Impersonator Jailed for 38 Years After Shooting Three, Including Girl, 8
Man disguised as Deliveroo rider jailed for 38 years over shootings

A man who carried out a series of shootings while disguised as a Deliveroo delivery rider has been sentenced to 38 years in prison. Jazz Reid, 33, targeted two men and an eight-year-old girl, leaving his victims with life-changing injuries.

A Calculated Disguise and a Trail of Violence

Jazz Reid, of Iffley Close in Uxbridge, meticulously planned his attacks using a hired car and a converted e-bike. He stored a green Deliveroo rucksack at an address in Ladbroke Grove, using the delivery rider disguise to approach his targets without suspicion.

His first attack occurred on October 9, 2024, in Notting Hill. Posing as a rider, he shot a 27-year-old man in the thigh at the communal front door of his home, causing serious injury.

Just over a month later, on November 11, Reid used the same method to travel to an address in the Notting Dale area linked to a 34-year-old man. He fired four shots, which were heard by alarmed neighbours who alerted the police.

Innocent Child Caught in the Crossfire

The violence escalated on November 24, 2024. Reid located the 34-year-old man in a car on Southern Row in Golborne. Once again on his modified bicycle and in his delivery rider disguise, he opened fire on the vehicle.

Five bullets struck the intended male target. Tragically, two further shots hit an eight-year-old girl who was in the front passenger seat. The attack happened on the day of her birthday celebrations.

Both victims survived, but the man sustained life-threatening and permanently life-changing injuries. The young girl and her family were left deeply traumatised.

Painstaking Investigation Brings Justice

Metropolitan Police detectives built a conclusive case by reviewing hundreds of hours of CCTV footage alongside mobile phone and automatic number plate recognition data. This tracked Reid's movements before, during, and after all three incidents.

A search of his home address on November 26, 2024, led to the discovery of a loaded pistol hidden under a concrete slab in the garden. Forensic tests confirmed Reid's DNA was on the weapon and on bullet casings from the November 11 shooting.

Reid was convicted of multiple charges, including attempted murder and firearms offences. At the Old Bailey on Thursday, January 15, 2026, Judge Sarah Whitehouse KC sentenced him to 38 years in prison, with a further five years on extended licence.

Lasting Trauma for a Shattered Family

In a powerful victim impact statement shared with the Met, the mother of the eight-year-old girl, who is also the partner of the 34-year-old male victim, described the enduring devastation.

"The impact on us all remains enormous more than a year on," she said. "I carry the guilt of not being able to protect my little girl from what happened to her, on a day we’d spent celebrating her birthday."

She explained her daughter is now "a shadow" of her former bubbly self and that her partner is unable to walk. While grateful for the police work, she stated that no sentence could ever make up for what was done to her family.

Detective Inspector Richard Scott, who led the investigation, said: "This was a truly shocking series of crimes carried out by a man intent on committing murder. He intended to kill his targets but also ended up seriously injuring an innocent young girl who must now live with the trauma."
