Man Killed, Teen Critical in Northampton Skate Park Stabbing
A man has died and a teenage boy is fighting for his life in hospital following a stabbing at a skate park in Northampton. The tragic incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon, prompting a swift police response and the launch of a murder investigation.
Emergency Response and Arrests
Emergency services were called to the park in Ringway, located in the Briar Hill area of Northampton, at approximately 3:45 PM on February 18. Upon arrival, they discovered two victims with stab wounds. A man in his 20s was pronounced dead at the scene, while a teenage boy was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries. He remains in a critical condition.
Northamptonshire Police have since arrested four individuals in connection with the stabbing. The suspects, comprising two teenage boys, a man, and a woman, all from Northampton, are currently in police custody as enquiries continue.

Detective Chief Inspector Torie Harrison, the senior investigating officer from the East Midlands special operations unit, expressed deep sorrow over the incident. "This is a tragic incident in which a man has sadly lost his life, and a teenage boy is in a critical condition," she stated. "Our thoughts are firmly with both their families at this difficult time."
To address community concerns, police have implemented high-visibility patrols in the area. DCI Harrison encouraged residents with any worries to approach officers for support. "We know incidents of this nature can be a cause of concern within the neighbourhood and wider community, and I would like to offer our reassurance that we have a team of dedicated officers working at pace to establish what has happened," she added.

The police cordon at the skate park is expected to remain in place as the investigation progresses. In addition to house-to-house enquiries, an increased police presence will be maintained to offer reassurance. Authorities are urgently appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
