Police in the West Midlands have launched a public appeal to identify a man following a theft from a fuel station in the Black Country.

The incident occurred at a fuel station on Pedmore Road in the Lye area of Dudley. According to West Midlands Police (WMP), the theft took place at around 6.20am on Saturday, December 20.

The items reported stolen were beer and chocolates from the store. Officers have now released a photograph of a man they are keen to trace in connection with the alleged crime.

Police appeal for information

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "Recognise this man? We’d like to speak to him after a theft from a fuel station in Lye. Beer and chocolates were stolen from the store on Pedmore Road at around 6.20am on Saturday 20 December."

The force is urging anyone with information that could assist their investigation to come forward. They have provided specific contact details for the public.
