In a poignant online tribute, Nyla's mother, Hayley Beardsley, expressed her profound grief. She wrote, "It breaks my heart to write this, but today we lost our beautiful daughter Nyla May Bradshaw at just seven years old. She was our whole world full of love, laughter, and the brightest smile that could light up any room."
She continued, "She brought so much joy into our lives and into the lives of everyone who knew her. Our sweet little girl will be loved forever and never, ever forgotten. Forever 7 my girl, this isn’t goodbye - it’s an until we meet again."
Large-Scale Police Search Operation
South Yorkshire Police launched a significant response after Nyla was reported missing in the Skellow area of Doncaster at 9:50 a.m. on Monday, March 30. Specialist resources, including drones and police aircraft, were deployed to assist in the search efforts.
Following an extensive search, the child was located in a pond on the Owston Hall golf course. Despite the best efforts of emergency services, she was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A GoFundMe fundraiser has been established in Nyla's memory, describing her as a "deeply loved little girl." The fundraiser highlights that the family is facing unimaginable pain, unanswered questions, and the responsibility of arranging her funeral.
It is understood that Nyla, who was autistic and non-verbal, was not in the care of her parents at the time of the incident. A family friend, Charlotte, added, "She was my best friend’s daughter – our beloved little girl. She was beautiful."

A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police stated, "Officers responded to the death of a child in Doncaster. Following an extensive search, the child was located in a pond on Owston Hall golf course. Sadly, despite the best efforts of emergency services colleagues, they were pronounced deceased."
The police confirmed that the child's family has been informed and is receiving support from officers. The spokesperson added, "The thoughts of everybody at SYP are with them at this devastating time."
