Among those detained, four men aged between 26 and 47 were arrested in connection with investigations into rape and serious sexual assault. Police specified that three of these individuals are suspected of rape, while the fourth was arrested for failing to appear at court on suspicion of a serious sexual assault.

Officers from the specialist RASSO (Rape and Serious Sexual Offences) team, part of the Public Protection Unit, executed early morning visits to addresses in the Black Country, Coventry, and Birmingham. This coordinated effort aimed to tackle major crime and enhance public safety.

Additional Arrests and Police Statement

The operation also led to arrests for other crimes, including possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply, fraud, assisting an offender, and burglary. In a statement, West Midlands Police emphasized their commitment to addressing all sexual offences with sensitivity and respect.

"We take all sexual offences seriously and if you or someone you know wants help and support, we won't judge you, we'll treat you with sensitivity and respect, and we'll always put your health and wellbeing first," the statement read.
