Sex offender Jaroslaw Adamkowski jailed for 7 years after rape and secret filming
Stoke sex offender jailed for rape and secret filming

A sex offender who raped a woman and secretly filmed her undressing has been sentenced to more than seven years in prison.

Crimes uncovered in Staffordshire investigation

Jaroslaw Adamkowski, aged 42, committed the rape in February last year. The court also heard that on two separate occasions in January of the same year, he had recorded the victim in a state of undress without her knowledge or consent.

The survivor bravely reported the offences to Staffordshire Police, which launched an immediate investigation. Officers discovered the illicit videos during a forensic examination of Adamkowski's mobile phone.

Guilty pleas and court sentencing

Adamkowski, of Stoke-on-Trent, subsequently pleaded guilty to one count of rape and two counts of voyeurism, relating to recording a private act for sexual gratification.

He appeared at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on Thursday, January 15, 2026, where he was handed a custodial sentence of seven years and seven months. The judge also ordered that Adamkowski be placed on the Sex Offenders Register indefinitely.

Police determination and support for survivors

Following the sentencing, Detective Sergeant Razwana Nasheen of Staffordshire Police said: "We're determined to seek the toughest possible punishment in court for those guilty of these types of offences and to deliver positive outcomes for survivors."

The force has reiterated its commitment to supporting victims and encouraged any other survivors of sexual abuse to come forward. They can contact police by calling 101 or by using the live chat function on the Staffordshire Police website.
