Police have arrested three men after a man with serious injuries was dropped off at a West Midlands hospital in a black Mercedes.
Incident details
The victim, aged in his 30s, was brought to the Midland Metropolitan Hospital in Smethwick shortly after 2:30 PM on Wednesday, April 22. He remains hospitalized as of Saturday, April 25.
According to West Midlands Police, it is believed the man was injured in the Tudor Road area of Winson Green, Birmingham, before being transported to the hospital.
Arrests made
Three men, aged 41, 40, and 23, were arrested on suspicion of assault on Friday, April 24. They are currently in police custody and being questioned.
Detectives are reviewing CCTV footage from the area to determine how the man sustained his injuries.
Police appeal
A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: "We have arrested three men and are appealing for information after a man who had been seriously injured was dropped off at hospital. The man, in his 30s, was brought to the Midland Metropolitan Hospital in Smethwick shortly after 2:30 PM on Wednesday (22 April). He was found to have serious injuries and remains in hospital."
The spokesperson added: "Detectives launched immediate inquiries to establish how he came to be injured and who was involved in transporting him. At this stage, we believe he was injured in the Tudor Road area of Winson Green and was then taken to hospital in a black Mercedes."
