Police have arrested two pensioners following a report of a serious assault at a property in a Nottinghamshire village.
Police Respond to Evening Incident
Officers were called to an address on Cropwell Road in Radcliffe-on-Trent at 8.45pm on Monday, 12 January, after receiving reports of an assault. The emergency response led to the swift detention of two local residents.
Elderly Pair Taken into Custody
A 69-year-old woman and an 80-year-old man were arrested at the scene. They were both held on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent and the neglect of a person without capacity.
Following questioning, the pair have been released from custody. However, they remain on police bail with specific conditions while the investigation proceeds.
Ongoing Investigation at the Scene
Nottinghamshire Police have maintained a presence at the property since the incident. A police cordon remains in place on the driveway as forensic work and enquiries continue.
