Police Hunt for Fiends Who Set Wire Traps on Woodland Path Near Oban
Wire Traps Found on Woodland Path Near Oban

Police are investigating after metal wire was found tied across a path in Glencruitten Woods near Oban, Scotland. Officers have warned that the wire could cause serious injury to trail users, including walkers, cyclists, dog walkers, and horse riders.

The discovery was made on Saturday, just weeks after metal spikes were uncovered in the same location on 2 April. Inspector Kirsty Moore said one line of inquiry is that the two incidents are linked, and patrols are being carried out in the area.

"The metal wire was placed intentionally across the path and represented a significant danger to walkers, cyclists, dogs, horses and their riders. This kind of behaviour is not acceptable. If not seen, it could have caused serious injury," Moore said.
