Three remanded in custody over Oldbury stabbing

Three men have been remanded in custody after being charged with attempted murder following a stabbing in Oldbury. The incident occurred on Wednesday, 15 March, in the Birchfield Lane area, leaving a man in his 20s with serious injuries.

Charges and court appearance

The three suspects, all from the West Midlands, appeared at Wolverhampton Magistrates' Court on Friday, 17 March. They were charged with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon. The court remanded them in custody to appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court on a later date.

Police investigation

West Midlands Police launched an investigation following the stabbing. Officers attended the scene and provided first aid to the victim before he was taken to hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. Detective Inspector Jim Colclough said: "This was a serious incident which has left a man with significant injuries.
