A major new indoor play centre is set to launch in Birmingham, promising a revolutionary blend of fun, learning, and future childcare support for families. Party & Play will throw open its doors at the Swannies Centre in Erdington in March 2026, creating a vibrant new hub for children's recreation.
A Dynamic Space for Play and Development
Spanning an impressive 700 square metres, the facility is designed to be far more than a conventional soft play area. It aims to integrate physical activity, imaginative play, and educational elements under one roof. The centre will cater to children aged up to ten years old.
Judging from released images, young visitors can look forward to an extensive role play village featuring a miniature police station, a road network, a repair shop, and a play garden. The active play areas are constructed over a double-level climbing frame and will include a thrilling 'bumper slide', a three-lane race slide, tunnels, a curving snake slide, and even a basketball hoop for sports challenges.
Phased Launch with Future Day Care Plans
A key differentiator for Party & Play is its intention to eventually provide day care services, offering a potential solution for busy parents. However, the launch will be phased. A spokesman for the venture confirmed that Phase 1 will initially focus on establishing the soft play attractions and dedicated party rooms.
"At this stage (Phase 1), we will not currently offer any day care services," the spokesman stated. "Our initial focus will be on the soft play and party rooms." The highly anticipated childcare provision is earmarked for Phase 2, which will be considered once the business has been operating steadily for a period.
The company's mission is to create a secure, stimulating, and engaging environment where children can explore and develop, while giving parents convenience and peace of mind.
How to Find the New Family Venue
For families eager to visit, Party & Play will be located at 115 Sutton New Road, Erdington, B23 6RP. The site is easily accessible from Birmingham city centre, with a car journey taking roughly 10 minutes via the A38, traffic permitting.
For those using public transport, Erdington Station is a convenient option, with train journeys from the city centre taking approximately 17 minutes. The new centre is poised to become a significant addition to the family entertainment and support landscape in north Birmingham.
