According to the OPSS, the sand may be contaminated with a small quantity of asbestos, a material prohibited due to its severe health hazards even at minimal exposure levels.
The product fails to comply with the Toys (Safety) Regulations 2011, prompting immediate action from retailers. Both eBay and Amazon have initiated recalls, and the OPSS strongly advises owners to cease using the product at once and ensure it is kept away from children to prevent any potential exposure.
Health Risks and Disposal Guidelines
