Woman Clinically Dead for Eight Minutes Describes Death as an Illusion

A woman who was clinically dead for eight minutes has shared her profound experience, revealing how it felt and why she now believes that death is an illusion. Brianna Lafferty, aged 34, recalls entering a timeless dimension during her near-death episode, where she heard a voice asking if she was ready to move on before passing into a black void.

A Journey Beyond the Physical Body

Brianna described the moment she was separated from her physical body, stating, "I was suddenly separated from my physical body. I didn't see or remember my human self. I was completely still, yet I felt fully alive, aware and more myself than ever before. There was no pain, just a deep sense of peace and clarity." She felt as though she had been absent for months when she returned to her physical form, leaving her struggling to comprehend the event after four days in hospital.

Transformation and New Perspectives

Following her recovery, Brianna expressed gratitude for the experience, which gave her a sense of mission and a deep reverence for both life and death. She explained, "Death is an illusion because our soul never dies. Our consciousness remains alive... and our very being only transforms." During the near-death experience, she found that her thoughts instantly manifested to create reality, and she sensed a higher presence guiding her with unconditional love.

Brianna elaborated on the timeless nature of her experience, saying, "Everything happens at once there, as if time doesn't exist, yet there was perfect order. I experienced the beginning of everything and learned that our universe is made up of a bunch of numbers." She also mentioned meeting other beings that felt familiar, though she was unsure if they were human, which changed her life by eliminating fears and shifting her priorities.

Overcoming Health Challenges

The detachment from her physical form made Brianna realize how temporary and fragile human experience is, but she now believes there is a purpose behind everything. She said, "I feel empowered and trust life's events, especially the hard ones. Looking back, everything is so crystal clear as to why I suffered with illness and other tough struggles." Brianna has a rare neurological condition called myoclonus dystonia, and her brush with death required significant recovery, including relearning how to walk and talk.

She faced lasting side effects and damage to her pituitary gland, which she treated with experimental brain surgery that has been successful so far. Brianna admitted, "I am a little fearful of having another near-death experience, only because the recovery is tough. I'm not sure I can avoid it if it's meant to happen again, though. But because of this, I have a heart of gratitude instead of anger."

A Purpose-Driven Life

Now, Brianna uses her experience to help others going through chronic illness, dying, and spiritual awakenings. She concluded, "I believe I survived because I have a purpose here on Earth." Her story highlights the transformative power of near-death experiences and the resilience of the human spirit in finding meaning and purpose amid adversity.
