Two men have been remanded in custody following a court appearance linked to the discovery of a significant haul of class A drugs in Dudley.

Midnight Arrest Following Suspected Deal

The incident unfolded in the early hours of Wednesday, 3 December. Officers from West Midlands Police reported witnessing a suspected drug transaction before stopping a vehicle on Norman Street at approximately 12.30am.

The subsequent search of the car led to the discovery of a large quantity of class A drugs. Two men were arrested at the scene.

Suspects Face Multiple Charges

The arrested individuals were later charged and identified as Yousaf Khalid, 29, of Kingswinford, and Kasim Ajmal, 30, of Dudley.

Khalid faces three counts of possession with intent to supply class A drugs. Ajmal has been charged with three identical drug offences, alongside additional charges for dangerous driving, driving while disqualified, and having no insurance.

Court Appearance and Remand

Both defendants appeared before Wolverhampton Magistrates' Court on Thursday, 4 December. The magistrates remanded Khalid and Ajmal into custody.

They are scheduled to make their next appearance at Wolverhampton Crown Court on 14 January.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police confirmed the charges, stating the seizure resulted from the vigilance of patrolling officers.
