Four people have been arrested on suspicion of arson following a severe flat fire in Dudley. The blaze broke out at a property on Ashenhurst Road at around 7pm on Thursday, May 7.

Firefighters from Dudley Fire Station, Brierley Hill Fire Station, and Hayden Cross Fire Station attended the scene. The fire was described as 'severe,' but all occupants managed to escape to safety, according to the fire service. A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: 'We've arrested four people on suspicion of arson after a fire at a property in Dudley. We were called to a flat on Ashenhurst Road just after 7pm yesterday. We are working to establish the cause of the fire. A number of people went to hospital to be checked as a precaution.'
