A Birmingham street where a man tragically died remained sealed off by police today, Tuesday, April 21, more than 24 hours after the incident occurred. The 27-year-old victim was pronounced dead in Hockley's Mott Street after being discovered with fatal injuries at approximately 12.30am yesterday, Monday, April 20.

Officers found the victim lying in the road, and a police cordon has stayed in place in the street, which is home to numerous businesses and restaurants. A blue forensic tent was visible in the middle of the road this morning, April 21, indicating ongoing forensic work.
West Midlands Police confirmed they have launched a thorough investigation into the tragedy and the circumstances leading to the man's death. A force spokesperson stated yesterday: "An investigation has been launched after a man was found unresponsive in Birmingham city centre this morning (April 20). Officers were called to Mott Street just after 12.30am where a man was found lying in the road with serious injuries. The 27-year-old was sadly pronounced dead at the scene."
