A man wanted by police was arrested after officers used stingers to bring a campervan to a stop on the M6 motorway. The dramatic incident occurred on Thursday evening (April 23) when a Fiat campervan allegedly failed to pull over for police.

Staffordshire Police's Road Crime Team reported that the driver did not hold a valid driving licence and was also wanted by two other police forces. The vehicle was seized following the stop.

On Friday morning (April 24), the police team shared a picture of the campervan on social media, along with a statement: 'This Fiat campervan failed to stop for ourselves on the M6. The Fiat was stung and tactics were used to bring the Fiat to a stop. Not only did the driver not hold a valid driving licence, he was also wanted by two other police forces. Driver arrested and vehicle seized.'
