Tragic Couple Found Embracing After Deadly Argentina Storm
A young couple from Argentina, Mariano Robles and Solana Albornoz, met a heartbreaking end when they perished in each other's arms after their car was caught in a devastating flash flood. The pair, who were parents to two small children, had been celebrating at a wedding just hours before the fatal incident unfolded.
Last Moments Before the Storm
Mariano Robles, aged 28, and his 32-year-old partner Solana Albornoz had attended a joyous wedding reception at the SMATA complex in Tafí Viejo, located in northern Argentina. Witnesses reported seeing the couple happily dancing with friends throughout the evening. They decided to leave the celebration early in the morning on April 5, despite worsening weather conditions.
Before departing, they contacted their nanny to inform her they were waiting for the heavy rain to ease before making the journey home to their two children, a two-year-old and a nine-month-old infant. This message would tragically become their final communication.
Desperate Search and Discovery
When the couple failed to return home by the following morning, concerned family members and wedding guests initiated a frantic search. Social media alerts were posted, with one Facebook plea reading: "If anyone knows anything about Mariano Robles or Solana Albornoz, please let us know as soon as possible."
The alarm was officially raised by Mariano's brother, who visited a local police station on Sunday morning. A search operation was immediately launched, focusing on the route the couple would have taken from the wedding venue.

Emergency workers discovered the couple's white Nissan Versa overturned in an irrigation canal, having been dragged there by a powerful wall of water during the flash flood. The force of the current had completely flipped the vehicle, trapping Mariano and Solana inside.
