The incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday, April 19, on Argyll Street in the Soho district of Westminster. According to Metropolitan Police statements, officers were called at approximately 04:30 after reports that a car had collided with pedestrians. Gabrielle Carrington, a 29-year-old former X Factor contestant who performs under the name RIELLEUK, has been charged in connection with the collision. Carrington, who is from Manchester, appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, April 21.

During her court appearance, Carrington was remanded in custody by District Judge Nina Tempia. She will remain detained until her next hearing, scheduled for May 19 at the Old Bailey.
