French police have arrested four men following an alleged horrific gang rape of a 13-year-old girl inside the toilets of a KFC restaurant in central Paris.
Details of the Alleged Attack
The incident reportedly took place on Monday evening at the fast-food outlet located in the busy Forum des Halles shopping centre within the Les Halles district. According to reports, the teenage victim was separated from her friend before several men lured her away.
It is alleged that the girl agreed to accompany the men to wait after becoming lost, but was then forcibly taken into the restaurant's restroom. There, she was subjected to a brutal sexual assault by multiple attackers.
Public Intervention and Police Response
The ordeal came to an end when members of the public discovered the traumatised and crying 13-year-old. They immediately alerted officers from the Central police station.
Police raced to the scene where, with the victim's help, they were able to identify and apprehend four suspects. The arrested men are aged between 18 and 24 years old.
Ongoing Investigation and Support
The Paris prosecutor's office confirmed the arrests are on suspicion of the rape of a minor under the age of 15. The suspects are now being questioned by the specialised Juvenile Protection Unit.
